Sr. Community Outreach Manager
Emily McCann joined Rifeline in December of 2016 as the Public Involvement Manager. Emily has a strong background in stakeholder management, project coordination, and community relations specifically aimed at large transportation projects. She moved to Austin from Dallas, Texas in 2013 to work at the State Legislature as a Policy Analyst. Like so many others, she fell in love with Austin and has called it home ever since. She comes to Rifeline from CH2M Hill, a multi-national engineering firm where she ran a successful public involvement campaign for the MoPac Improvement Project.
At Rifeline, Emily supports the Texas Department of Transportation’s public involvement and communication efforts for the Mobility35 construction program.
Emily graduated from the University of North Texas where she received a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Administration and Disaster Planning. She received a minor in Public Administration. She is also trained in the Systematic Development of Informed Consent from the Institute for Participatory Management and Planning. She is currently the Board President of a local environmental group in Austin, Texas.
