Community Outreach Manager
Megan Klein is Rifeline's Community Outreach Manager. She is a seasoned community and campaign organizer with extensive experience in event management, training, and meeting facilitation. At Rifeline she supports several initiatives of Central Health including the Community Health Champions and Health Equity Policy Council groups, as well as public involvement events for the redevelopment of the Brackenridge Campus. Other clients have included Waste Management, the City of Austin, the City of Round Rock, and HNTB.
Prior to joining Rifeline, Megan worked in politics as a field and advance staff person and managed volunteer events, large-scale trainings, press conferences and rallies. She has deep experience facilitating meetings, training staff and volunteers, and handling logistics for major events.
Prior to her work in politics, she worked extensively with youth as an English as a Second Language teacher in Taoyuan, Taiwan, where she learned conversational Mandarin, and as a leadership program developer for a local nonprofit supporting at-risk youth.
Megan attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Linguistics and has lived in Austin for 20 years. Megan received management training in the Systematic Development of Informed Consent from the Institute for Participatory Management and Planning in 2016.
