Sr. Community Outreach Manager
Liz Jenkins joined Rifeline in March 2024 as a Senior Community Outreach Manager, bringing with her a distinguished career in public education with the Austin Independent School District (AISD). With deep expertise in project management, community relations, coaching, and administrative leadership, Liz plays a key role in advancing Rifeline’s public involvement efforts across Williamson County and Central Texas.
Liz holds a Bachelor of Science from Texas State University, where she focused on Urban Planning and Political Science, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. Her academic background, paired with her hands‑on experience, gives her a unique ability to bridge community needs with project goals.
Before joining Rifeline, Liz helped conceptualize and implement a smaller learning community within a large urban high school—an initiative that strengthened student engagement and family partnerships. One of her proudest accomplishments was supporting low‑income students in becoming first‑generation college graduates, reflecting her long‑standing commitment to educational equity and community empowerment.
At Rifeline, Liz leads public outreach initiatives that support safety, mobility, and accessibility improvements in one of Texas’s fastest‑growing regions. In addition to her work in Williamson County, she has strengthened stakeholder relationships in the City of Kyle by participating in block walks, hosting open houses, and gathering community feedback on critical city infrastructure projects. Her collaborative, people‑centered approach ensures that community voices are heard and integrated throughout the project lifecycle.
Liz is also an active member of the Professional Women of Williamson County and participates in several local Chambers of Commerce. Originally from Monterey, California, she has lived in Virginia, Illinois, and Maryland, but has proudly called Austin home since 1991. Her combined experience in education and community engagement continues to shape her thoughtful, relationship‑driven approach to outreach at Rifeline.
