Maria Brown-Spence

Sr. Community Outreach Manager

Maria Brown-Spence joined Rifeline in April of 2024 as a Senior Community Outreach Manager.

Maria is an Army Veteran with over 10 years of experience in Environmental, Social Impact, and Governance (ESG), Communications, and Strategic Planning. She also is the founder of Hearts2Heal, a nonprofit offering bereavement & mental health consulting & services. In her professional career, she has led award-winning social impact strategies at a global tech firm, received notable recognitions for her accomplishments, such as NAACP Outstanding Leadership Award, Austin 40 under 40 finalist, Employee of the Year in her roles as Director of ESG, to name a few. Currently serving as a Commissioner for the Austin Veterans Commission & Board Member for AUTMHQ.  With a bachelor’s in Advertising and Public Relations from Texas Wesleyan University and certifications in Leadership Development from Harvard School of Business, Project Management from Syracuse University and ESG strategy from the University of Colorado Boulder. Maria is dedicated to driving transformative change and fostering sustainable practices.

Maria’s favorite food are tacos, and she loves to travel.
