He also serves as Commissioner, Place 1, for the City of Leander’s Public Arts and Culture Commission. In 2024, he completed both Leander ISD’s Leadership LISD cohort and the City of Leander’s Citizen’s University – the first of its kind

He holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and image management from the Dan Rather School of Communications at Sam Houston State University, along with educational leadership training through Prairie View A&M University’s graduate program. Mical is deeply committed to advancing public involvement best practices and driving meaningful community impact.

Outside of work, Mical enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters, Maleah and Margaux. He finds inspiration in writing and exploring new destinations.

Fun facts: Mical is an identical twin, and he and his brother were born six weeks prematurely - on their mother’s birthday. His middle name is also his wife’s first name, a coincidence that still makes people smile.
