Nora Gonzalez
Sr. Community Outreach Coordinator
Nora Gonzalez joined Rifeline in August of 2024 as a Senior Community Outreach Coordinator. She brings five years of experience in the non-profit sector where she cultivated a wide range of skills from coalition building to service coordination.
Nora earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2020. In previous roles she served as a Legal Assistant and Project Coordinator for immigration attorneys and spent a short time in Pittsburgh as a Policy Organizer at a Latino Resource Center. Within these roles she has organized and facilitated community meetings and events, led 'Get Out The Vote' campaign efforts, and developed a program that connected LGBTQ+ immigrants to a wide range of services.
With a passion for community engagement, Nora has leveraged her expertise in relationship building and campaign development to support projects such as TxDOT’s Statewide Multimodal Transit Plan and the City of Killeen’s Proposition B Campaign. She also supports coordination efforts as the secondary liaison for the TxDOT Austin District. Nora moved to Austin in 2024 and enjoys exploring natural bodies of water, finding freshly made goods at the Mueller farmers market, and traveling to new places.
